swissauto collaborates with Polaris Industries Inc. Medina USA
swissauto has sold the powersport- und Hybridbusines to Polaris Industries Inc. Medina USA and establishes a new product development center for Polaris in Europe.
The Kart engine manufacturing and selling as well as the automotive charging divisions remains at WENKO AG swissauto and is continued independant from Polaris.
Over the last years, swissauto WENKO AG has build up and enlarged various core businesses in supercharging development , powersport engineering and Kart engine production and sales.Various products has been brought successfully to the market.
Wenko AG swissauto alway’s was concentrating on engineering and small series production. Mass production was never in the focus of the company. For further grwoing in the areas of powersport engineering and to realize the Hybrid Range extender engine, swissauto was searching for a strong production and engineering partner.
Polaris Polaris Industries inc. in Medina, USA is world market leader in manufacturing and sales of various powersport products as ATV’s, UTV’s and Snowmobiles.
With Victory Motorcycles, Polaris is the second biggest US bikes manufacturer.
Already in the past, swissauto realized various poduct developments with Polaris.
Today, swissauto can announce that the powersports engineering and Hybridengine has been sold to Polaris Industries.
Swissauto powersport will act in the future as the european procuct development center and will enlarge the facilities to fullfil the future needs for the development for highperformance and highefficient drive trains for Polaris and its international growth.
Wenko AG swissauto is operating the businesses in automotive supercharging and the Kart engine manufacturing as in the past independant from Polaris at the locations in Burgdorf and Mellingen.
The automotive department is reinforced since January 2010 with a new established location in Stuttgart to handle the customers in the automotive industry directly.
The Kart engine manufacturing was enlarged in the past year and the presence in the market is consolidated. The engine will be produced and further deveoloped as before at theBurgdorf location.
